Thanks for supporting the Backroom Comedy Club, Toronto’s best speakeasy comedy bar. We want you to have a fantastic experience, so here’s our straightforward refund policy:

🎟️ Ticket Purchases
All ticket sales are final. We’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges for missed shows, schedule changes, or general cancellations. However, we understand life can throw curveballs—so in extreme circumstances (like a natural disaster, serious illness, or sudden venue closure), we’ll gladly review refund requests. Please email us within 7 days of the event with details and documentation. We’ll handle these case-by-case with a smile.

🛍️ Merchandise Purchases
Love our merch but need to make a return? No problem! Unused, unwashed, and tag-attached items can be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Just email us at [email protected] with your order number, reason for return, and a photo of the item. Once approved, we’ll process your refund or exchange. Note: We can’t accept returns for used or damaged items (unless it’s our fault—let us know ASAP! Details below).

This policy applies to all purchases made after January 28, 2025. We may update it occasionally, so check back here for the latest version.

Our legal team insists we include this section to comply with Canadian and Ontario consumer protection laws. We’ve kept it as painless as possible!

Statutory Rights: This policy doesn’t affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act (Ontario) or other applicable laws. If goods are defective, services aren’t provided as advertised, or an event is permanently canceled (not rescheduled), you may be entitled to remedies beyond this policy.
Event Cancellations: If we cancel an event entirely and don’t reschedule it, we’ll automatically refund tickets within 14 days, no questions asked.
Merchandise Warranty: All merchandise is guaranteed to be free of defects at the time of purchase. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, contact us immediately for a replacement or refund.
Dispute Resolution: If we can’t resolve an issue, you may contact the Consumer Protection Ontario for assistance.
